16sepAll Day18Third Tryweryn TripFor progressing beginners, intermediate and advanced paddlers

Event Details

We are heading to North Wales again! We’ll be leaving on Friday evening and returning on Sunday.

If we are lucky with rain, there are several rivers to try in the area. If not, there is the Tryweryn, a dam-controlled river that hosts the Welsh national kayaking centre. This trip is suitable for progressing beginners (i.e. have paddled a couple of the Dart weekends, Exmoor or equivalent), intermediate and advanced paddlers. And of course, it is an excellent opportunity to put the new skills acquired on the alps trip into action.

We will be staying at the Tyddyn Bychan.

Trip cost will be around £55-65 which includes accommodation, breakfast, lunches /river snacks, and dinner in the accommodation on the Saturday night. Dinner will be a BBQ to make use of the (in)famous BBQ hut at the accommodation. If we paddle the Tryweryn a fee of £13 per day will apply. As customary, fuel (split between passengers per car) and drinks are extra.

This is a small trip by Regent’s standards as we only have one part of the accommodation. Make sure you sign up early to make it on the list.
