Event Details

Regent’s will be heading north for our annual trip to Scotland from Friday 27th October to Saturday 4th November. We will be staying at Fort William and spending a week paddling a range of Scottish rivers.

We will be leaving on Friday and staying in Dumfries on Friday night, in order to paddle the river Nith in Dumfriesshire on Saturday.

The trip is aimed at strong intermediate to advanced paddlers, with most rivers falling in the 3 to 4+ difficulty bracket, though the difficulty of rivers will be  highly dependent on water levels. If you would like to come but aren’t sure whether it’s for you, please email anyway with details of your paddling experience, and Kate will get back to you as soon as possible. The usual caveats about the numbers of leaders and drivers apply.

Please be aware, any paddling we are able to do in Scotland will depend on getting the right amount of rain. In the past we have had many great trips with excellent levels, but the past two years have been unusually dry. If you come on the trip you need to be prepared to enjoy yourself in a low-water scenario – we almost always find something to scrape down, and there are plenty of other things to do, including walking and mountain biking. Alternatively if levels are very high, some rivers may not be suitable for the whole group.

Trip full.
