North Wales Second May Bank Holiday trip

The second May bank holiday trip to paddle the mighty Tryweryn and, weather dependent, any other rivers is now open for booking. The Tryweryn is a dam release river near Bala in North Wales which usually releases water 2 of the 3 days we will be there. This trip is suitable for anyone comfortable on Grade 2+/3 water, ideally having paddled at least three previous weekends.

We will be leaving the night of the 27^th May and returning on the 30^th May.  This is a camping trip and costs will cover your pitch, campfire and a BBQ dinner one of the evenings. On one of the nights we will head to a local pub for food.

Cost of the trip will be £40. This includes campsite accommodation and the BBQ. All other meals, transport and water access fees will be in addition.
Please note the Tryweryn now charges a £14 daily fee for access (£7 for BC members) which is not included in the cost of the trip.

To secure your place on the trip, pay the non-refundable trip deposit (details in Notes from Canalside) and email  [email protected] with answers to the following questions:

• Can you drive and if so how many passengers and boats can you take?
• Are you willing to lead or support a leader?
• Your paddling experience?
• Where will you be leaving from on Friday and where would you like to be dropped on Monday?
• Do you have a tent and can you offer space to any extra people?
• Any dietary requirements?
