Event Details
The second May bank holiday trip to paddle the mighty Tryweryn and, weather dependent, any other rivers is now open for booking. The Tryweryn is a dam release river near Bala in North Wales which usually releases water 2 of the 3 days we will be there. This trip is suitable for anyone comfortable on Grade 2+/3 water, ideally having paddled at least three previous weekends.
We will be leaving the night of the 27th May and returning on the 30th May. This is a camping trip and costs will cover your pitch, campfire and a BBQ dinner one of the evenings. On one of the nights we will head to a local pub for food.
Cost of the trip will be £40. This includes campsite accommodation and the BBQ. All other meals, transport and water access fees will be in addition.
Please note the Tryweryn now charges a £14 daily fee for access (£7 for BC members) which is not included in the cost of the trip.
To secure your place on the trip, pay the non-refundable trip deposit (details in Notes from Canalside) and email [email protected] with answers to the following questions:
- Can you drive and if so how many passengers and boats can you take?
- Are you willing to lead or support a leader?
- Your paddling experience?
- Where will you be leaving from on Friday and where would you like to be dropped on Monday?
- Do you have a tent and can you offer space to any extra people?
- Any dietary requirements?
