Event Details

This trip is suitable for anyone comfortable on Grade 2+/3 water, having been on a few previous trips i.e. the Dart, Barle & Exe, Mile End Mill – if you are unsure whether it’s for you please feel free to email the organizer or ask the advice of coaches you have paddled with.

The Tryweryn is a dam release river near Bala in North Wales with two great sections to paddle. The lower is suitable for most at grade 2-3 with one easily portaged grade 4, while the upper section is grade 3-4 and is suitable for more experienced paddlers.

We will be staying at Tyddyn Bychan this year – the accommodation provides bedding, but please bring your own towels.

The cost of the trip will be £60 – this will include three nights at this accommodation, breakfast, lunch and the Saturday night dinner (which will be a BBQ on site). Regarding the Sunday night dinner this is TBC but will either be the pub which is a short drive away, or food at the bunkhouse – please note this won’t be included in the price of the trip.

As a registered club we all get half-price day tickets at the Tryweryn, paying £7.00.

To sign up please email Emma C at [email protected] and answer the following questions:

  1. Do you drive/how many boats and passengers can you take?
  2. Where will you be leaving from on the Friday and liked to be dropped off on the Monday?
  3. Previous paddling experience?
  4. Would you be happy to help lead/support on either the upper/lower?
  5. Would you be interested in paddling the upper?
  6. Any dietary requirements?

Once you’ve been confirmed on the trip we will send an invoice to you individually – please pay on receipt of this – thank you!
