February Dartmoor trip

Now that the presents are all open and the mince pies are gone, it’s time to start populating the 2016 diary. To help, the February Dart trip is now open for booking.

The Dart Loop is Grade 2/3 river and ideal for anyone with a minimum of one whitewater weekend such as Mile End Mill or Barle & Exe. There is also the opportunity for more experienced paddlers to do the Upper Dart – Grade 4. Please email if you are unsure about anything.

The cost of the trip is £50 per member. We will be staying at YHA Bellever and the cost includes self catered breakfasts and lunches as well as a carvery meal at the local pub on the Saturday night (approx. 30 minute walk).

To sign up for the trip send an email to [email protected] answering the following questions:

1. Do you drive/ how many boats and passengers can you take?
2. Where you will be leaving from and returning to, along with approximate time of departure on Friday?
3. Previous paddling experience?
4. Would you like to paddle the Upper Dart?
5. Any dietary requirements?

You must also send a non refundable cheque made payable to Regents Canoe Club or alternatively bank transfers to:

Your place will be confirmed via email and upon receipt of your cheque/ bank transfer. If you get a place on the trip, you are liable for the full cost. As always spaces will be assigned to ensure suitable levels of experience and drivers.
