Christmas Dartmoor trip

Trip is now full and has a waiting list. 
No further places will be allocated, you can apply to be added to the waiting list if anyone on the list doesn’t pay their deposit or pulls out of the trip.

 

The Dart Loop is Grade 2/3 and minimum experience is at least one whitewater weekend such as Mile End Mill or Barle & Exe (or other previous experience). If you are keen to come but unsure if this is for you just drop Sean an email. There may also be the opportunity for more experienced paddlers to do the Upper Dart – Grade 4.

The trip is £70 per person. This cost covers accommodation, breakfasts and packed lunches. It also includes canapés & cocktails followed by a three course dinner onsite on the Saturday night. Petrol and incidentals will be extra. There will be a best (worst) Christmas Jumper competition and if everyone is well behaved enough, Santa may make a visit from the North Pole for the annual RCC Secret Santa.

In your email, you must state whether or not you have access to a vehicle and how many boats/passengers you can take. You must also state from where you will be leaving and returning and approximately what time departure on the Friday.
You must also include your worst Christmas themed joke which will be voted upon during the Christmas Cocktail Hour with the winner taking home a prize.

There are 32 places – MAXIMUM!!
Places will be allocated on a first to express interest basis with the caveat of ensuring there are appropriate experience levels and drivers for the group. Your place will be confirmed by return email on receipt of your cheque/bank transfer. As with any trip, paddling is dependent on water levels. If levels are too high or too low paddling options might be limited or non existent for some or all of the group. As it’s the Christmas Dart – we may also get snowed in so bring a keen mind for Scrabble, Banagrams and Snooker!
