We meet on Monday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and on Thursday evenings from 7.00pm to 9.00pm on the City Road Basin of the Regents canal at Graham Street, London N1. For details of Tuesday pool sessions see club calendar. The club is closed on Bank Holidays.
Our Introduction to White Water Kayaking courses are designed for adults (18+) who have little or no previous experience of paddling kayaks, but who want to learn to kayak on moving water. These courses are currently on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Boats, paddles and bouyancy aids are available for use on club night. Changing rooms and hot showers are also available. Members have free use of all equipment and facilities on club nights and can hire equipment for use outside of club hours.
Non members can only visit the club on New Members’ Evenings. Volunteers will explain how the club works and provide some brief tuition for those who need it. This is the only way to join the club unless you do an Introduction course.
If you would like to become a member of Regents Canoe Club please visit the membership section. Fill in your details on the membership form and bring it, together with a cheque made payable to Regents Canoe Club, to one of our monthly New Members evenings.
To visit or join Regents Canoe Club you must be over 18 years old. Children and teenagers wishing to kayak can contact Islington Boat Club who are based at the same address as Regents. The nearby Pirate Castle also caters for children, as does Westminster Boating Base in west London.
