Duty
person's role
-
Act as a focal point
for new members / visitors, give out the information leaflets,
collecting the £2 casual users fee and pass on to the
committe, and ensuring new paddlers sign new paddlers declaration
forms before they get on the water.
-
Ensure that all members
getting on to paddle, sign in the paddlers book before they
get on the water and sign again when they get off.

Ensure that everyone
on the water or pontoons is wearing a bouyancy aid.

Act as focal point
in case of accidents and emergencies.

Carrying out or organising
any water supervision needs of new padlers.

Ensuring all paddlers
are aware of their responsibilities with regard to their own
safety.

The duty rota
is to ensure that the club is a friendly, informative and SAFE
environment. If you cannot make your duty night then it is ESSENTIAL
that you find a replacement duty person.
The Duty Person will have the use of a folder, maintained by the
Safety Officer, which includes:
