Club calendar
The club is open every Monday evening between 6.30 and 8.30pm and every Thursday evening between 7.00pm and 9.00pm, except for Bank Holidays or if indicated below. The club is open all year.

| 21 February | Tuesday | Banff Film Festival | SOLD OUT. Mark Lamb (marklamb99@googlemail.com) is organising another social to the Banff Film Festival. This is an evening of incredible outdoor films (including kayaking) at one of the best venues in London; Union Chapel, Islington. | 25/26 February | Weekend | Leadership skills | Coached trip will provide training for people wanting to develop their skills leading peers and less experienced paddlers on grade 2-3 water. Course now full. |
| 27 February | Monday | Training meeting | Come along to contribute to the club's training plan for the summer period. This includes the Introduction to White Water Kayaking courses. It is also your chance to say what other training you would like to see offered. All members welcome. Please come and share ideas, make your requests and sign up to help on courses. North Wales | Coached trip to the rivers of North Wales, that will provide training for paddlers hoping to progress from grade III to grade IV with confidence and style. | 24/25 March | Weekend | Open boating weekend | Two days messing about on the water, learning the techniques for polling and sailing as well as breaking in and out, checking and setting on moving water, if time allows we will also cover lining and tracking. This weekend will consist - depending on conditions - of a day on moving water and a day on open water, and will cover all of the skills to practice for Open Boat 3*. Contact Mark Rowe at mark.rowe@islington.gov.uk if you are interested. Space may be limited to 8 places. As this is an intense weekend and some open boating experience is required please also list what experience you have. Accommodation could be in cottages, but we may camp on the Saturday night. |
